SSO (Single Sign-On) means you can use the same log in (ID/email and password) to gain access to several systems or tools on any type of device.

SSO on Rungway means we have integrated with your organisation’s internal tools so that signing up and logging in is seamless.

You'll know straight away that SSO is set up on your Rungway because the login flow will present you with a 'Log in with...' button after you've entered your email address.

Log in using SSO

  • Enter your email address and hit 'Continue'

  • Hit the 'Log in with...' button (you should recognise that the logo here matches your organisation's own logo or SSO system)

  • That's it, you're in!

Why this is good news for you:

  • Reduce password fatigue from different email/password combinations

  • Reduce the time you spend signing up with pre-filled employee information such as, Name, Job title and Grade.

If you see a password field then:

  • You may have typed your email address incorrectly

  • We don't recognise your email address (perhaps Rungway is not set up in your organisation or it's only available to small group at the moment)

  • Your organisation is not setup with SSO yet. Read about our regular log in flow.

Creating an account using SSO

As you already have an email and password all you need to do is create a profile, so if you haven't done this already you'll need to follow these steps:

  • Enter your email address and hit 'Continue'

  • Hit the 'Log in with...' button (you should recognise that the logo matches your organisation's SSO system)

  • You'll see the onboarding questions about you and your role which you need to complete (you may see some data pre-filled that's been given to us by your organisation. You can edit this later on from your profile page)

  • When that's complete, you're in!

Joining another Rungway using SSO

If you get invited to join another Rungway and your account is already using SSO then there's not much for you to do.

  • Follow the new invite link (or Join now button in your Rungway side menu)

  • Agree to the terms of the new Rungway and click Next to proceed to the onboarding.

FAQ

I had a password to log in to Rungway previously. Where's it gone?

Your SSO password has replaced it so you don't need it anymore.

I've forgotten my SSO password. Where do I go?

You'll need to go to your central SSO system to manage your password. Rungway does not store this for you.

How does SSO effect my anonymity?

SSO is purely to do with your login credentials when you're accessing Rungway. Your anonymity will always remain in a discussion that you start, with or without using SSO.

I'm not able to log in even though my SSO details are correct

This may be because your organisation:

  • Require you to be connected to their own secure network (eg: via a VPN). If this is the case try again when you're connected to that network.

  • Require you to be using a work device, rather than a personal mobile for example.

👉🏻 No matter which device or network you are using all Rungway gurantees around anonymity and security remain.

If this still isn't working please contact us at [email protected].
