How to search your Rungway and filter the results

Search allows you to find relevant posts quickly so that you can join in and offer feedback on the discussions that matter to you.

You can search for keywords, word combinations, phrases, or people and Rungway will display the results in the most relevant order based on the strength of the match.


Search is available on web and mobile from the Home feed.

Search on Web

  • On the Home page click into the search input at the top of the page

  • Type your search query and hit Enter

  • The Home feed will be replaced with the search results

  • Click on a card or 'Read more' to navigate to where that posts appears in a thread

  • Use the browser 'Back' button to get back to search if you want to continue browsing other results

To filter the results

  • After performing a search, click 'Filters' and choose between a discussion, replies or pulse, or a mixture.

To sort the results

  • By default, the search results are sorted in order of relevance with the most relevant at the top.

  • You can switch this to sort by date by clicking on 'Relevance' and choosing 'Most recent'

To exit Search on web

  • Click the X in the search box to clear the current query and type something else

  • Click 'Cancel' to clear everything and return to the Home page

Search on Mobile

  • On the Home page tap the search icon in the top navigation bar to take you to the search page

  • Tap into the search box and type your search query and hit Enter

  • The search results will show up below

  • Tap on a card or 'Read more' to navigate to where that posts appears in a thread

  • Use the back button to return to search if you want to continue browsing other results

To exit Search on mobile

  • Tap the X in the search box to clear the current query and type something else

  • Tap 'Cancel' to clear everything and return to the Home page
