How do I participate in a pulse?
You may see a Pulse in your main feed, to take part click the ‘Take part anonymously' button.
You may receive an email with a link to participate in a Pulse, to take part click the link. (This pulse will not be visible in your feed so you need to keep a reference to the URL if you want to save your progress and come back to the pulse or visit the results page after the survey has ended)
Am I really anonymous when I answer a pulse?
Absolutely! When you take part in a pulse your name and profile are always hidden from the pulse creator. We take your privacy and safety very seriously at Rungway.
How can I add more details to my answer?
If the pulse creator has enabled it, there will be a 'tell us more' input box to elaborate on your answers. Your ‘Tell us more’ answer is still anonymous. Only you and the creator of the Pulse will see the text you have entered, they will not be able to see your name or any of your profile information.
Can I save my responses as a draft?
Once you get started your progress will be automatically saved so you can complete your pulse in several sessions.
Can I edit my answers once I've submitted them?
No, once you've completed your pulse and submitted it, you can't edit your answers. Because you can save your progress while you're participating, it's a good idea to take your time to answer the pulse before you submit it.
How do I see the results of a pulse?
When you submit your pulse answers you will be taken to the results page. Here you will see an aggregated view of the answers so far. You will also see the answer you selected indicated by a ‘Check’ symbol. The answer that has been selected the most so far, will be indicated by a darker green colour.
If you added any ‘Tell us more’ details, or answered a free text question, your response will be shown. Other participants' free text answers will not be visible to you, to ensure they remain anonymous. Your answer will only be visible to you and the creator of the pulse and you will not be identified.
Why can't I see the results of a pulse?
There are two instances where you might not see the results page:
The author has decided to keep the results private for now. This can happen if the question that was asked was sensitive, or if the author wants to share the results with the team at a later date or in a different format. This option is chosen when the pulse is created.
There have not been enough participants to ensure anonymity and the results have been hidden by Rungway. This means the results should be visible soon, but only after five participants have taken part.
How do I find the results of a pulse after it's finished?
If you’d like to view the results at a later date, check the card in the main feed for a ‘View Results’ link, alternatively you can search for it.
If you have been sent the Pulse via a link, you can also see the results by following that link again.
